Service Description

I have created some educational programs that correspond with the Early Years Learning Framework and the current Australian Curriculum. We have carefully looked at these frameworks and our program is suitable for and tailored to children from the start of kindergarten until high school (3-17 year old’s). The programs incorporate visual and hands-on learning activities (including part of a living bee colony), games, and/or songs (for the younger audience), to keep the children engaged in learning. The program covers: - What is a beekeeper and what does he/she do? - What is in a beehive - Types of bees - Bee lifecycle - Bee jobs (an interactive game) - How to help bees at home and in your neighborhood - Question and answer time (inquiry-based learning) - Honey treats for the children Most programs run for approximately 40 minutes to an hour and a half. Extra activities are available to be added to the program (additional fees apply). These are: 1) Beeswax wrap making: the children will be able to take home their own beeswax wrap 2) Native bee hotel making: the children will be able to take home their own mini bee hotel 3) Bee planting: planting seeds/plants to create a bee environment 4) Bee farm (apiary) visit

For cancelation please contact me 24 hours prior. Also a cancelation fee of 50% will be applied.
